This is a fun day ride. Check out Inspiration Peak near Urbank (Nobel Prize writer Sinclair Lewis wrote about it); Nyberg Sculpture Park in Vining is a nice fuel stop where you can also enjoy large metal sculptures by NASA astronaut Karen Nyberg's father; Skal Bar & Grill (Swedish/Norwegian for "cheers") in Vergas, 12 miles NE of Dent,MN for a delicious smoked brisket or philly cheesesteak sandwich and nice selection of craft beers. If burgers are your thing, the Rusty Nail in Battle Lake won MN Public Radio's 2021 Best Burger in MN contest. Phelps Mill Park just south of Maine is a nice stop along the scenic Otter Tail River where you can enjoy a self-guided tour of the 1889 Phelp Flour Mill. In fall, Maplewood State Park on Highway 108 east of Pelican Rapids has great fall colors. Enjoy the ride !
