Nice trip down 11 then up to Caesar's head for some nice twists. At the top grab some gravel for a short bit and then back to the pavement. Head up 25 to 176 and come on back down.
Clockwise or counter clockwise, you get the twisties on 28 and Caesars Head and some cruising w scenery on 11. I'd rather go N on 28 then south, more fun ride all together if you go clockwise. Police rating depends on day and time....Weekends at noon are probably not the best!
This is an ALL day ride from near Greenville, SC (half way between Charlotte and Atlanta) to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Taking this route this coming Monday to get a glimpse of some AWESOME Fall COLORS, and a great ride!!!

What makes this route terrific for South Carolina is that it is rather open in sections and cruise-worthy throughout. The start at Blythewood north to Ridgeway is gentle rolling terrain. Stop at Parr resevior for a pee and drink of water from the hand pump fountain. You can take Mt. Pleasant Rd instead of going west on 34 and go straight up to Carlisle but the route shown here offers a pit stop in Whitmire for Ethanol Free refill.
